DOUKKALA ABDA RECONNISSANCE LICENSE
Doukkala Abda reconnaissance license covering an area of 4673.75Km2 was granted to OLYMPUS, an associate of PEL in Morocco.

Paleozoic sequence is intensely deformed due to Hercynian orogeny, while overlying Mesozoic series has been gently deformed.
During Mesozoic it evolved as passive continental margin.
Silurian and Devonian source rock potential is proven in the surrounding basin
Within the Carboniferous succession, reservoir interval with porosity value of around 11-15% are encountered in the west phalian, Namurian sequence.
Lower Triassic Sand Unit (LTSU) is increasing in thickness from southwest to northeast.
Intra Formational Shales for Paleozoic reservoirs and Salt succession in Triassic sequence provide seal to LTSU.
Two sizeable leads have been identified on Top Lower Triassic Sand Unit (Approx. 70 Sq.kms and 13 Sq.kms). After firming up these prospects, OLYMPUS jointly with an interested E & P company can request ONHYM for award of an exploration Permit over part of Doukkala Abda License area.
