PEL interpret and integrated the existing seismic, geological and well data. In 2009 PEL conducted 3D seismic data acquisition over an area of 140 km2 in the Haha Centre. The rationale for this survey was that the existing 2D seismic data interpretation revealed the presence of fault bounded structural features at the Triassic reservoir level.
An integrated 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation resulted in the delineation of prospects at Callovian (Middle Jurassic), Liassic (Lower Jurassic) and Triassic reservoir objectives. The reservoirs are hydrocarbon bearing in Sidi Mokhtar Permits to the north, where seven oil and gas fields were discovered.
