By grace of Almighty Allah, Petroleum Exploration (Pvt) Ltd. (PEL, operator) along with Joint Venture partners
of Badin-IV South Block, is pleased to announce gas/condensate discovery at its exploration well Zahrah
North-01, located in district Badin, Sindh Province.
Zahrah North-01 well was spudded-in on 27th June, 2023 and was successfully drilled down to depth of 2657m.
Based on wireline logs interpretation, the well tested 16.65 16.76 Million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day of gas,
condensate of 52 barrels per day at Flowing Well Head Pressure of 1930 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) on 40/64”
choke. This discovery will add to the hydrocarbon reserves and help the energy sector to abridge the demand
and supply gap.
Under the visionary leadership of its late founding Chairman, Mr. Zaheeruddin and its founding directors, Mr.
Muhammad Kausar and Mr. Zafar Iqbal, PEL embarked on an ambitious exploration journey that has now culminated
in the unearthing of substantial hydrocarbon deposits. This discovery is a testament to the dedication,
expertise, and perseverance of the PEL’s team, whose relentless efforts have led to this extraordinary find.
Director Operations of Petroleum Exploration (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. Shahbaz Zaheer while talking to this scribe said:

in the Lower Indus Basin, which is one of our focus basins in Pakistan. We look forward for further successful
